The purpose of this page is to go into some of the specifics and math of how Harvesting as a skill works.

FOR THE NEW HARVESTER
  1. Every time you start to plant, as soon as you click Start Planting – record the time. This is the time that growing begins. You then have a certain amount of time (anyone that knows this time :) please fill in here) to finish planting. You can leave the guild pick up something from your house and come back, but finish by that time or you won't be able to fill the greenhouse.
  2. Each plant takes a specific amount of time, and this time only changes due to seasons (meaning it's not a random number, it'll be the same every night). My attempt here is to get specifics here for people who want them.
  3. Pleknor informs me that Rotting begins 6 hours after your crop is ready (based on what MSK said). Another attempt for this site is the % that rots, and how often, so see the notes at the end on #'s.

Thank you very much to the people who made the harvesting page. This page has helped me tons becoming a new harvester. This page here is my attempt at giving others the work i've put in to finding specifcs.

These notes are done from tests taken in December, in a greenhouse in droesar, and so far off only 1 crop. If you are elsewhere and can verify these %'s or can find different ones :) I'd greatly appreciate it. And the more crops the better obviously :).

Note: All growing times and rotting times are rounded to the 20 minute mark.

Example: If you plant what at 02:13 that wheat will be ready tomorrow at 04:20. The same time as if you had planted at 02:01, or 02:19.

Rotting also happens on the 20 minute mark, and is 1% rounded up of what's currently left. So 473 left will rot 5.

QUESTIONS I'd Love answered:
  1. Are rot times always the same no matter how big the greenhouse?
  2. Do crops rot faster if you aren't picking?
  3. How long do you have to plant each crop (from start until you can't plant anymore)? Does this number change per greenhouse size?
  4. What/when are winter and summer, and what effect do they have on these times (is it temperature per spot based or global temperature)?

Here is Lemon's research on rot: https://movoda.net/man/growingtimescrops#rot

If you find different numbers please post your notes here (as specific as possible would be great):
