Interpretation of the rules

In light if the recent banning of some well liked and respected members of the community I would like to create this page as a community service so as more people don't get banned for offences not actually mentioned in the rules

1. Using Bots Having another person, or program click the Bot check or play for you is strictly against the rules and could get you banned. You are not allowed to use anything that gives your character an unfair advantage in the game. This also includes having multiple accounts, each person is allowed one account, if for any reason you need to change your account message a mod about it.

Ok this one is quite badly worded but very easy to exploit if you are not stupid. What its saying is that it’s actually widely accepted and practised for people to get others like roommates parents children or co-workers to do our bot checks but just don't admit to it or you COULD? get a ban.

The unfair advantage clause is a gem. I mean if I have a laptop and wireless and I go for a dump and so a bot check on the throne I am at an advantage over someone with a desktop that also has to go for a dump so should I be banned?

Also a few good players were banned for using a pre determined keyboard stroke to train speed instead of having to hover a mouse over it 10 seconds in advance and click a button and advantage? Not really. What is an advantage is my laptop with touch screen, its ace I don't need a mouse or a hotkey so your honour you may cuff me now I am guilty of having a technological advantage over the everyday Joe that has to use his mouse to play this game, pfft what the peasants of today have to tolerate.

It is also widely accepted even if you have no-one living within 100 miles of you to claim you have siblings or a spouse or kids and create multiple accounts or if you are feeling bold 5 accounts from the same house using an old laptop or computers as well as your main one or even the same computer as long as not at the same time. This is done to mind guild spots for raiding guilds or to gain extra resources and XP for your guild and have all the “family” in the same guild. This practice is socially acceptable if you message the mods

2. Obscene Language Movoda is a game with players of all ages and languages. Although we don't expect all players to speak like perfect angels, we won’t tolerate using any obscene Language. This includes racism, cursing, and even “Shut Up.” There are areas where you can talk as you like, but for any messages available to be read by the entire game population you are expected to keep the language clean.

What this is saying is movoda is overrun by kids who in fact are mostly the ones who go about doing the actual swearing, obscene language is basically anything even words hidden in other words so its safer not to speak at all. However after a week of playing the game you will realise that the chat is patrolled by a useless badly programmed part of the games coding which basically mutes the innocent and allows the guilty to find ways around the system by using innuendo and clever ways of describing terrible acts without actually using the “obscene language” mentioned above, racism is the easiest to exploit as long as you don’t use racist terms to describe ethnic groups or curse.

3. Harassment Being rude and annoying to someone after they have asked you to stop is against the rules. Any messages meant only to harass or annoy another player can be considered harassment. Joking around is okay, but if someone asks you to stop then it is time to change the subject. This also applies to mods or any staff members, questioning the actions of a mod in public chat or calling for the mute of another player can all be considered harassment.

Harassment is generally tolerated unless you decide to pick on someone the mod knows or is actually a mod. Even if you request someone stop the bad programming that moderates chat cannot detect harassment anyway unless you use key words like stupid for example. Even though the only way to show the blatant favouritism and bias in the real players that moderate the game is to bring it to the attention of the community this is forbidden so as the moderators can keep looking out for their mates and picking on the guys who annoyed them or their mates.

4. Abuse of Game Bugs If you find a bug, report it. If you exploit it you may be subject to banning.

This one is straight forward if you find a bug even a known one make a bug thread about it or you may be banned. As the game is rarely fixed you will find that the same topics come up about twice a week in the forums.

5. Impersonating another Player / Moderator / Admin This is NOT allowed. Using the tag Admin, or Mod / Moderator or anything designed to look similar to these words is not allowed. The same goes for other player names, any account created with the intention of fooling people into thinking you are someone else will be banned. You should also not post things anywhere where you attribute something to someone who did not actually say it, posting fake “quotes” into chat or the forums which put words in someone else's mouth can be considered an attempt to impersonate them.

Basically this rule is overlooked in the forums and in chat where people often post for the muted. Even those who are now muted but campaigned about those who, in the past posted, for other muted players up until the time the ball was on the other foot.

6. Character Names If your character name breaks any of the rules stated here you could be removed or your name changed without your consent.
This one is overlooked as long as you don’t speak in chat there are a few really good ones that are really offensive but because they never chat get away with it.
