Alchemy Skill Quest

To begin quest you must have Magic Skill level of 20 – demonstrating your wisdom of the unknown forces; a Crafting, Cooking, Smithing, Construction, and a Harvesting skill level of 20 – all demonstrating your broad knowledge of skills that allow you to work with the elements. The old man slams the door in your face at first. You hear him through the door,
“Go away! I haven't time for nonsense at the moment. I am close to finishing my life's work.” You must leave Mount Pharos and return an hour or so later. Upon returning you see a pillar of smoke. While approaching the spot where the cabin once stood, you are shocked to see the hut in shambles. Destroyed by an explosion. You decide to search through the rubble. You find the old man under some smoldering boards. He is barely alive.
“I failed. The elixir eludes me once again! Here take this map, it will lead the way to...” He gasps for air and with his last breath, “truth.”
You take the map, although damaged by the fire, you find it to still be decipherable. It directs you to the mountains of Droesar. When reaching Droesar you follow the map to a small cave. Far too small for a person of your size. You hear something from within.
“Whatcha Want! Can't you people just mine down below and leave an old dwarf to his misery?”
“Sorry. I was sent here by an old man from Mount Pharos. I didn't catch his name before he died. Whatever he was working on seems to have been the cause of his death.”
“Shame. Albertus was a good man. Taught me everything I know. You know he founded the College in Echtin. It once was a great center for learning. Now it is nothing more than ruins. The people of Movoda scorned Albertus for his dabbling beyond the fabric of magic. Haldos despised the way Albertus tried to explain the workings of magic to him.”
“What did he mean by finding the truth?”
“Ah, yes. He must have seen the makings of a fine scholar in you. Go talk to Haldos, see if he remembers the days of the College. Rumor is he kept a token from there to remind him of the presumption of Albertus. It was a book. His Greatest Work. Although he is not going to part with it for a cheap price. Best to bring him a little bribe.”

Bring to Haldos 1 emerald, 3 diamond, 500 Gold Coins.

You Receive 1 Magnum Opus
