Okay, here's the basics to connect to Movoda using AOL Instant Messenger. It's somewhat limited in what you can do but will let you keep working when you may not have access to a web browser.
First open up the settings page and go to the accounts tab. Enter your AIM screenname under account name, a random word or phrase under phrase, and “aim” under type and click add account.
Next in your AIM window send a message to "
Movoda Net?", you should get a welcome message back. If not or it shows as being offline then there's a problem somewhere, it's still somewhat experimental and may go down without warning. To login to the game send «login [phrase]" where [phrase] is the phrase you set when adding the account. If you are logged in anywhere else that will be logged out automatically. Not sure it's always sending a welcome message back, you may just get an empty line but if you get something you should be logged in. Here is the list of commands that may work:
- “help” will give a basic list of commands
- “logout” will log you out of the game (logging back in from a browser will also log you out)
- “info” will give the basic information about your character that is normally found by the map
- “inventory” will give at least the top of your inventory (up until it hits the character limit)
- “town” will give the town you are in and the working spots you can use
- «work #" will start working at a the spot given by the number (use the town command to see the numbers)
- «walk [location]" will start walking to the adjacent location specified
