Forever!!
“stop that worthy business. makes you sound “less than” and that is so not true”
There once was a Great Knight, who was consumed by darkness and strife.
He was known to be very brutal and a masterful raider of other kingdoms, yet his own towers stayed in darkness.
One day this knight awoken to a warm glow from outside his window, and he watched as the morning came and sprinkled happiness in front of him.
Every day, for months, this same scenario happened even with all the darkness inside, the knight began to crave that happiness.
One day the night saw the morning coming from a far and crept out of the darkness to meet her.
As the morning got closer the knight stood fast afraid of the light but was interested none the less as what the light may hold.
The morning moved close to the Knight and dropped her seeds at his feet and looked at the Knight closely and then retreated once she saw the darkness behind him.
The knight knelt and with his mighty hands scooped up the soil and seeds left at his feet and turned back to the tower and entered.
The knight was broken and again embroiled in darkness, but the Light had touched him.
The next morning, he awoke and went to the window and waited.
The morning had left and all that remained were the seeds concealed in the Knights breastplate.
As time went the morning did not return.
The knight wondered why she had forsaken him, surely, he was not worthy of her spirit.
As the days went on and the darkness further consumed him the knight began to really think about the seeds.
Through his meditations he found the seeds belonged to a great King.
The knight abandoned his tower and crept into the world to find this great King and ask why the morning had forsaken him.
He went for years in darkness, tower to tower and made many mistakes and caused many a heart break until one day he found himself at the door of a glorious castle.
He entered the castle alone and set himself to searching for this King.
The knight entered the walls of a huge courtyard and walked toward a door that was barely cracked open.
As he got closer to the door, he felt the seeds getting warmer, and he could not contain himself in his breastplate any longer.
When he removed his armor, he found the seeds had rooted in him and he was yet again confused.
The seeds had begun to sprout and grow inside him, and the happiness he had so much longed for might be attainable.
He opened the door and before him sat the King, Lord of All.
The knight approached the King, ever hesitant but at the same time with mission.
He bowed before the King and humbled himself removing all his armor and being unguarded for the very first time.
The King touched his scarred head and said,
“Knight, it was never about the maiden, but the seeds she possessed. Come take your seat next to me and we will destroy the Darkness together”
The knight sobbed wishing the maiden could see him now, but it was not time.
For years after this moment, The Knight and the King continued to grow closer to but there was still darkness around the knight.
As much as he tried, the darkness hung on, his entire life had changed, and he was a new being, but he craved the mornings approval.
In his travels with the King, he would catch glimpses of the morning, but would turn his head ashamed and continue, knowing he was not worthy to be in the presence of her.
The one day the knight stood in the compound looking forward to another day with the Lord and a message was received through the courier.
It was the morning, and the knight ran to the window and looked out and he saw her approaching from the distance.
The knight and the Morning were very tentative and slow to react, knowing the darkness from their past had all but consumed them both.
The morning spoke and the knight listened, and the messages were slow and of no real consequence.
All at once both the Knight and the morning turned their head to the castle where the KING stood in his tower.
The KING was ever so pleased that His work was transpiring right in front of him.
In that moment, the Knight again made a change in appearance, as his chest burst open with the love and passion that had long been buried in the darkness, not for the flesh but for the spirit.
The Knight and the Morning stood in front of the KING as FRIENDS once again, Family, Brother and Sister in Christ.
They were One!
One mind, one body, in one accord.
Because we all now know, You can’t have dawn with out the NIGHT, nor can you have night without the DAWN
I am forever grateful for the seeds the morning brought in the midst of chaos so many years ago.
I am forever changed!
