If you want to know the notes for a specific song, video game song, or anything, please MESSAGE ME. I am accepting requests. (grungy49)
I will be using sharps for all the notes, because I don't know the flat symbol (e.g. for B flat). In place of a B Flat instead will be an A Sharp (A#). A chord will be shown for example as C+E+G, D+F+A, and normal notes will be simply C, E, G.

(So let mercy come) G, D, D, C, A#
(And wash away) G, C, D, C
Part 4 – Chorus 1
Now, keep the same bassline, but instead of hitting each chord once per beat, now hit them quickly – 8 times for each of the 4 chords whilst keeping in beat.

(I'll face myself) G, F, D#, D

(To cross out what I've become) D, F, F, D, G, F, G
(Erase myself) G, F, D#, D
(And let go of what I've done) D, F, F, D, G, F, G
At the end of this chorus, the lyrics 'what I've done' are drawn out, and then it goes into the instrumental.
Part 7 – Guitar Instrumental
The bass again goes back to the same as the verses here, with just one hit each chord.
Right Hand
G, G, G, A, A#, A#, A#
D, F, D, F, D, F, D, F, D, G, D, A, D, G, D, F
D, F, D, F, D, F, D, F, D, G, D, A#, D, A#, D, A#
D, F, D, F, D, F, D, F, D, G, D, A, D, G, D, F
Part 8 – Chorus 3
This chorus is different. When I play this song – I keep the same right hand but instead of hitting the bass 8 times per chord like in the first 2 choruses, I just hit it once.
Right Hand
(For what I've done) D, G, F, G,
(I start again) G, F, D#, D
(And whatever pain may come) D, F, F, D, G, F, G
(Today this ends) G, F, D#, D
(I'm forgiving what I've done) D, F, F, D, G, F, G
Again the last three notes are drawn out. When you play the last three notes – start playing the bass 8 times per chord again like normal.
Part 9 – Chorus 4
Right Hand
(I'll face myself) G, F, D#, D
(To cross out what I've become) D, F, F, D, G, F, G
(Erase myself) G, F, D#, D
(And let go of what I've done) D, F, F, D, G, F, G
Part 10 – Ending
After the last notes of the chorus, we draw to the ending. Continue hitting the bass 8 times per chord.
Right Hand
(Na na na) D, C, D
(Na na na) D, D#, C
(Na na na) C, A#, C
(Na na na) C, D, D
If you want, instead of playing the last line of 'na na na' you can also play 'forgiving what I've done'. However, I just choose to keep playing the 'na na na'.
(Na na na na) D, D, C, D
(Na na na na) D, D, D#, C
(Na na na na), C, C, A#, C
(Na na na) A#, C, D
(Na na na) D, C, D
(Na na na) D, D#, C
(Na na na) C, A#, C
(Na na na) A#, C, D
That's all for Linkin Park – What I've Done. Hope you enjoyed the notes, hopefully you'll all be able to play this one now. Good luck to anybody who wants to play it – it's not a tricky song and it's a good one to learn because it maintains a consistent bassline. This was the first ever song I learned how to play properly on piano.
If you have a keyboard/synthesizer, I generally use the 'MlwPiano' (Mellow Piano) track, or something similar. You can play it with other instruments (I'd imagine a rock organ would sound interesting) but just use a piano if you want it to sound nicely.
More songs will be done soon.. some songs I plan on putting up are:
The Last Goodnight – Pictures of You
The Killers – When You Were Young
The Killers – Somebody Told Me
Coldplay – Clocks
Coldplay – Viva La Vida
Soft Cell – Tainted Love
Human League – Don't You Want Me
Kevin Rudolf – Let It Rock
Visage – Fade To Grey
The Offspring – Gone Away
Evermore – It's Too Late
And perhaps some video game music if anybody would like.
I am taking requests so keep the requests coming.
