Once you build a Compound you are in Guild Wars.

For those that want to effectively opt out of Guild Wars here is how.


1. Do not build a HQ, or destroy the existing HQ.
2. Close the store and remove all goods.
Use the Market Forum or level Trade.
3. Do not build or use a storehouses. Stays empty.
Goods now stay in houses off-site and requires coordination.
This means that you trust the owners of these houses implicitly.

Benefits:
1. No Wars or Invasions are possible.
2. Raids get nothing. It will get boring for the attackers.
3. You can defend if you choose at no loss to yourself.
4. You don't have to waste time getting ready, clearing items or restocking.
5. You have all other guild buildings available and possibly extra slots.
6. You don't have to cover 24/7.

Disadvantages:
1. Very difficult to get an artifact.
2. No common collection point.
3. No store.
4. Have to build off-site housing. (You do anyway.)
