Ranged Combat:
Description:
This is pretty simple, all though the coding might not be. Basically we could add items such as shortbows, longbows, crossbows, pistols, rifles, and cannons. During regular combat, the weapons would work like a normal weapon, the only downside is, you need to have ammo in your inventory, or msk could code in a possible equipment slot for ammunition. The following items could possibly open a new type of fighting, either it be against NPCs or
Pv P?. Against the NPC you would have a better chance to attack the animal with your bow, possibly doing critical hit, possibly a
K / O?. If it is used during
Pv P? you can attack faster, even if your attack is lower than your opponents attack, as well as your agility, the current system would be in effect for the combat, but adding the ranged attack will allow the players to attack a player 2 seconds faster before the enemy hits them, ex. Timer (green) 2(5) (red) 10 (1). (5)/(1) how many times the counter counts down before attacking. An effect like poison could be added here, something such as your oppenent bleeding out.

Damage: Will be determined by the Attacking players stats vs the Defending players attack.
Using ranged combat will leave you vunerable to higher damage being dealt.
Another thing that would have to be calculated into combat because of range combat, is the Arrow Type vs. Armor Type. I guess you can think of this in a sense if you have played runescape. We could have an arrow for each type of metal in the game, except alumninum (that would be used for crossbow bolts.)
As for the items, this is where I am more interested in, Msk can determine how te items will work based off of what I said about it above. Certain NPCs could possibly start using these items, and allow this fighting sequence outside of guild wars.

When making the following bows, you could see the following blurbs.
Success: You successfully made 1 (bow type) and gained X experience.
Failure: The bowstring snapped and you saved the base of the (bow type) you gained X exp. You start to restring the bow.
As you string the bow, the base snaps and you gain X exp. (you save the bowstring needed to make the item). You begin to carve another bow.
As you pull back the crossbow and load it, the stock snaps and you gain X exp. You begin to build another crossbow. (Saving the limbs and bowstring.)
Sub-bow Items:
The bowstring could be made at a new building. Via guild or Town specific. You would use the materials at a spinning wheel, Could be seen in a town as

Then could be an crafting building addition.

Each building would need logs, hardwood, and rope, each requiring a ton of each supplies, but 100s more rope per 100 hardwood / 50 logs. These amounts would be for msk to determine.

On top of possibly adding these weapons, we could add more guild war related weapons. Such as cannons and ballistas. These wouldn't work like the current Catapults but work to attack or do heavy damage to the opposing players.

There would be a quest line to this item, which leads to Alchemy, the next step in magic, this would unlock potions etc etc and other weapons and what not. But you get the basic idea of what I am trying to depict and to show advances in the game to lead to other expansions, such as colony wars between NPC races (current and others) allowing to different lands to travel, seas to sail, and things to do.
