Woodcutting goes back in time as far as the making of simple tools. Wood is in very high demand, since it is needed in
Construction,
Smithing and
Cooking skills.

Notes:
- Rissdra – The only place for beginning woodcutters. Until you reach character level 10, so you are be able to travel to the mainland and chop in Hevalus Jungle. Random attacks will occur if Glazed Swordfish are consumed.
- Hevalus Jungle – Is the same as Moskim in every aspect except for the amount of max logs you can get. Time to chop is lower than in Moskim with an equal amount of exp per chop; therefor, exp gain here seems to be higher than in Moskim.
- Moskim – For most of us, this is stop #2 in our progression as a woodcutter. You can get up to 3 logs per cut, which is better than Hevalus Jungle or Rissdra. Still it takes longer per chop in Moskim than in Hevalus Jungle, so exp gain is slower, but log yield seems to be higher. You can only cut wood in Moskim if you retain Faldorian citizenship.
- Cythe – Cythe shares the same characteristics as Moskim, but has a shorter time per chop, so exp is faster. In addition, while cutting you can find apples and chipwood. You can only cut wood in Cythe if you become an Erfdari citizen. Vhist was chopping here at lvl 8 woodcutting skill.
- Nalurn Woods – There are 2 places to Chop here depending on your woodcutting level, you will encounter combat in both places. The difference between the two is exp, logs per chop, and bonuses.
- Ashia – Site is unlocked by the Logging Camp quest, started at Ferboi.
- Hikori – Random attacks will occur if Glazed Swordfish are consumed. The maximum logs per chop seems to be 5, not 6, or at least 6 is extremely rare.
Please also note that fruit drops are seasonal and not in place all year round.
Acorns can be found at all woodcutting locations all year round.

exactly the same as the Bronze Hatchet for woodcutting.
In Addition, the Woodcutter Gloves and Heavy Gloves are/were a holiday item and can be extremely hard to find, if you're looking be prepared to pay a lot.
Plum Preserves are helpful for woodcutters in both levels of Nalurn Woods

Woodcutting Guide
This is a level by level tutorial. This tutorial is assuming that you have read the
Getting Started Guide.
Level 1
You should be in Echtin. If not you should head back to Echtin. Once you are at Echtin choose to go to the General Store. Then choose to buy a Bronze Hatchet. Once that is done move from Echtin to Droesar then from Droesar to Moskim then from Moskim to Lake Essdar. Then from Lake Essdar move to Rissdra. Once you arrive at Rissdra equip your hatchet. Then choose Chop Wood. You should start chopping.
Level 10
Now that your level 10. You most likely know more about the game. So I will assume you know the places on the map. So first buy an Iron Hatchet in the Wood shop in Rissdra. Then go to Moskim and start woodcutting. Be sure your Iron Hatchet is equipped first!
Level 20
You can now chop down trees at
Radom Woods. And you can get
Hard Wood Logs as well as normal
Logs. You can also use Steel Hatchets now, so i suggest buying one of them and equipping it.
If you are Woodcutting Level 20, you are also eligible for the Quest At Ferboi which allows you access to chop at Ashia, Similar Results to
Radom Woods, But also the place for Woodcutting at level 50
Level 30
If you have not already become Erfdarian, I recommend you do the nationality quest at this time so you can woodcut at
Hikori. You can obtain
Hardwood Logs,
blue berries, and
chipwood. You are also able to equip a Titanium Hatchet or a Dwarven Hatchet to help reduce your woodcutting time.
Nationality Information:
At this time other then elves having a 25XP forest 2 levels sooner there is no evidence to support elves being better woodcutters then any other nation. You can get blueberries as an elf.
You can get redberries woodcutting as a dwarf.
